Rosie Lowe has shared a new live session featuring material from her latest album ‘Lover, Other’.
The session, filmed in her London flat, features producers Harvey Grant and D’Monk, and was directed by Jacob Hopewell. The performance includes renditions of singles ‘Mood to Make Love’ and ‘There Goes The Light’.
For ‘Lover, Other’, Lowe took control of recording, writing and production duties. The fifteen-track album incorporates field recordings captured on a Zoom microphone during trips to Spain, Sri Lanka and Devon. The record draws influence from Mary Lou Williams’ ‘Black Christ of the Andes’, gospel musician Pastor T.L. Barrett, and Disney soundtracks, while maintaining Lowe’s characteristic electronic R&B sound.
