Green Day are going to re-release ‘Dookie’ on a bunch of weird formats, including a toothbrush and a doorbell

Green Day are set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ‘Dookie’ with a pretty unusual re-release project.

The band have collaborated with BRAIN to reissue the album on 15 unconventional formats, including wax cylinders, floppy disks, and toothbrushes.

This limited-edition release deliberately sacrifices audio quality and convenience, with some versions omitting entire verses, to create what is described as “Dookie, the way it was never meant to be heard”.

Fans can listen to all 15 formats at dookiedemastered.com and enter a drawing for a chance to purchase. The drawing closes on 11th October at 8AM PT/11AM ET.
