Rizzle Kicks pay homage to growth with their new single ‘Gumdrops’

Rizzle Kicks have released their new single ‘Gumdrops’ via BMG.

The track marks the British duo’s second release since their return to music earlier this year, following comeback single ‘Javelin’ this summer.

Speaking about the single, Rizzle Kicks explain: “Gumdrops is our homage to growth, discussing what ‘lad culture’ used to be when we grew up. It was interesting delving back into the questionable ideologies that created us. Sugar is also a persistent issue for us both and potentially the entire world because it’s so addictive, haha. And then finally the gumdrops line slipped in partly in homage to an old song we used to love by a rap crew called LDN Zoo.”

‘Gumdrops’ and ‘Javelin’ are taken from an upcoming project that marks Rizzle Kicks’ return to music after a nine-year hiatus. They’ll perform their first headline show in nearly a decade at London’s KOKO on 8th November.
