Tapir! share new track ‘Nail in a wooden trunk’ and announce extensive UK/EU tour

Tapir! have unveiled a new single, ‘Nail In A Wooden Trunk’. The track follows the January release of their debut album ‘The Pilgrim, Their God and the King of My Decrepit Mountain’ on Heavenly Recordings.

‘Nail In A Wooden Trunk’ was recorded at east London’s Total Refreshment Centre, aiming to capture the energy of the band’s live performances, and was produced by Yuri and Hywel, who also worked on Tapir!’s first single, ‘My God’.

Lead vocalist Ike commented on the track’s creation: “After being so meticulous with our album, we wanted to try a more ‘carefree’ & playful approach with this song. The song was written in a day and then brought to life during our last tour. We then recorded it live in a day at Total Refreshment Centre in East London with Yuri and Hywel, the producers from our very first song, ‘My God’.”

The video for ‘Nail In A Wooden Trunk’ was created by Doug Lussenhop, aka DJ Douggpound, recognised for his work on television shows such as The Eric Andre Show and Portlandia.

The band are set to embark on an extensive UK and European tour, starting in October. The tour includes a special performance at St Matthias Church in north London on 4th December, which promises to feature unreleased material.
