The Last Dinner Party have announced ‘Prelude to Ecstasy: Acoustics and Covers’ deluxe edition

The Last Dinner Party have announced the release of ‘Prelude To Ecstasy: Acoustics and Covers’, a deluxe edition of their Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut album, set to arrive on 11th October.

The expanded release will feature reimagined versions of the band’s own songs alongside covers of tracks by other artists. Accompanying the announcement, The Last Dinner Party have shared their cover of Sparks‘ 1974 single ‘This Town Ain’t Big Enough For Both Of Us’, along with a tour montage video featuring footage from their recent trips to Japan, the United States, and their performance at Reading Festival.

A short film titled ‘Prelude To Ecstasy’ will be screened at a Soho Cinema and live-streamed on the band’s YouTube channel on 12th September. Fans can win tickets to the Leicester Square screening by joining the band’s mailing list.

The band are set to embark on a 22-date sold-out UK tour in September, culminating in three nights at London’s Eventim Apollo. Their European tour will follow in October and November, with dates across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Luxembourg.
