Kids in Glass Houses have dropped a new single inspired by self-destructive behaviour, ‘Rothko Painting’

Kids In Glass Houses have released their new track ‘Rothko Painting’.

It marks the third single from their upcoming album ‘Pink Flamingo’, due 25th October; their first full-length release in 11 years.

Vocalist Aled Phillips explains the song’s theme: “The song is about self-destructive behaviour and plays out like an intervention. It opens from the viewpoint of concerned friends and then becomes the internal monologue of the person in question.”

‘Pink Flamingo’ represents a significant return for the band, blending the energy of their earlier work with new ambitions. “It feels like a new start, rather than us just churning out a fifth album,” Aled notes. “As much as people ask for another ‘Smart Casual’, we couldn’t write it and I don’t think they’d really want it anyway.”
