Sunday (1994) worry about being apart with their new single, ‘Softly’

Sunday (1994) have released their new single ‘Softly’.

The track is taken from the forthcoming deluxe version of their self-titled debut EP, set to arrive on 6th September, and explores themes of early romance and separation.

The band describe the song’s meaning, stating: “‘Softly’ is about the first time he left for the airport or the dreaded moments alone while she’s at the grocery store. Being apart can feel like ‘my neck to the knife, softly.’”

‘Softly’ follows the band’s previous single ‘TV Car Chase’. The original EP was released in May.

Sunday (1994) are set to make their live debut with shows in Los Angeles and London. The dates read:
