1000 Rabbits have shared their debut single ‘Virgin Soil’.

The five-piece, formerly known as Rabbitfoot, comprise Laura (violin), Liv (synthesiser), Paolo (guitar), River (vocals) and Luke (drums). Formed in the coastal town of Aldeburgh in Suffolk, the band relocated to London and became part of the scene at Brixton’s Windmill.

The track is released via Young, the label home to The xx, Sampha and FKA twigs. “‘Virgin Soil’ represents the band’s beginnings – experimenting together and making music with no rules,” the band explain. “It feels right as our first track out in the world.”

The accompanying video was directed by Cuan Roche.
