Snail Mail, the musical project of Lindsey Jordan, has unveiled a new single and video for ‘My Maker’.
Following on from ‘Dead End’, it arrives ahead of her third album, ‘Ricochet’, set for release on 27th March via Matador Records.
Lindsey explains, “‘My Maker’ was the lyrical jumping off point of the record, the anchor that helped me build the rest of the album around it. I kept thinking about the line ‘it’s just sky,’ which obviously meant we had to make a video in a hot air balloon. It took six canceled rides for that to happen, but we finally got up there. I wanted the video to reference the lyrics about mortality, but also about the freedom that comes with realizing fate is out of your hands.”
In support of ‘Ricochet’, Snail Mail will embark on a North American tour this spring, with notable performances at Brooklyn Paramount and The Wiltern in Los Angeles. She will also perform at the Electric Ballroom in London on 25th June.
