Grace Jones will headline Crystal Palace Bowl on Friday 31st July, as part of the new Palace Bowl Presents series.
The show is part of a new festival series taking place at the historic venue from Friday 31st July to Sunday 16th August. Other announced shows include the inaugural Gospel Garden Festival on Sunday 2nd August with Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Fred Hammond and Mercy Chinwo; Gary Numan with Marc Almond and Ladytron on Thursday 6th August; and Bastille and The Wombats on Thursday 13th August.
Support will come from Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Soul II Soul, with more acts to be announced. General on-sale begins at 10AM on Friday 20th February at palacebowlpresents.co.uk. Local residents from postcodes SE19, SE20 and SE26 will be eligible for discounted tickets.
Crystal Palace Bowl has hosted concerts from Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, Lou Reed, Curtis Mayfield and many more since its establishment in 1961.
