Erin LeCount has announced her new EP, ‘Pareidolia’.
The EP will include her recent singles ‘I Believe’, ‘Machine Ghost’ and ‘808 Hymn’, and it’s set for release on 27th February 2026 via Atlantic Records.
LeCount shared her thoughts on the project, stating, “‘Pareidolia’ is a self written and produced EP that tells the story of a downwards spiral. The tale of falling down a rabbit hole, a willing return to self destruction.
“The true definition of “pareidolia” is “the tendency to perceive meaningful connections between unrelated things or ideas” eg. seeing shapes in clouds, or a face in the moon. It is a distorted, warped perspective of reality and of self, it’s the brains way of seeking familiar patterns that make us feel safe.
“I have lived vicariously through these songs the last year, crafting them in their intensity and heart and impulse, writing through that distorted lens and playing the unreliable, occasionally paranoid narrator over heavy synth basses, relentless live strings and synthetic shimmery harps.”
The tracklisting for ‘Pareidolia’ reads:
‘I Believe’
‘Don’t You See Me Trying?’
‘808 Hymn’
‘American Dream’
‘Machine Ghost’
‘Alice’
