If any night of the week is going to throw January blues firmly to the curb, it is a Friday. Night 2 of Here Comes Your Jan 2026 returns to the 100 Club with three must-see bands, each carving out their own world for the year ahead. Stacked with ambition and driven by momentum, it makes for another essential night in the heart of Central London.
With a snarl and bite, Pack Of Animals step on stage with grit in their teeth. Revelling in classic indie swagger, they take the opening slot as a challenge to get the 100 Club primed for the night ahead. ‘Round and Round’ is psychy and gripping, with the band leaning fully into the responsibility of setting the tone. With no music out this is but a taster, but Pack Of Animals prove themselves as a band who can take on any stage at any time. It’s emphatic, your new indie blazers are here.
If you want to see ambition and a band built for the biggest of stages, get down the front for Fletchr Fletchr. The 100 Club is packed to the brim with not just your curious industry mob catching a glimpse of a band born to cause a stir, but also with die-hard fans already firmly glued to their every move. It’s no wonder, with the electric ‘Jet Black’ and ‘Fucking With My Head’ just two highlights from a set that fizzes past. Anthems that could nestle their way into playlists of fans across the country (both rock and pop in scope), and they have The 100 Club firmly in the palm of their hands. Closer ‘Life’ puts an exclamation mark on this evening, but it’s only the start for Fletchr Fletchr – they’ve got one foot firmly in ‘new favourite band’ territory already.
Closing the night, Pencil click play on a cinematic soundtrack to fall head over heels for, with a demonstration of their captivating prowess. Soothing, tender and fully-formed, the vocals that ring between lead singer Kamran Khan and the band hit like nothing else this evening. ‘Wingman’, their latest track and first released since The Big Moon / Our Girl’s Soph Nathan joined the band, signals something new, though: it lands tonight in the set as a free-wheeling favourite that nails what makes them so unique. A band made up of incredible musicians that link into something greater, each step pencil take is a true treat. Tonight is no exception for a band who could go in any direction they wanted to – and that’s rather exciting indeed.
