Miso Extra encourages a ‘glass half full’ mindset with her new single ‘Right Here’

Japanese-British artist Miso Extra has unveiled her latest single ‘Right Here’.

The track marks her first release since her debut album ‘Earcandy’, and was produced by harrry and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Ricky Damian.

Miso Extra wrote ‘Right Here’ in Paris, and the accompanying music video was directed by Victor Ivanov in Tokyo, following her debut performances in Japan.

“This song is a reminder to approach life with a ‘glass half full’ mindset,” Miso Extra explains. She cited inspiration from Wim Wenders’ film ‘Perfect Days’, as well as ‘Whisper of the Heart’ and ‘The Girl Who Leapt Through Time’. “Both of these themes are ideas I also tried to convey through the song, creating a visual and emotional world that mirrors the optimism and introspection at the heart of the music.”

To celebrate the release of ‘Right Here’, Miso Extra will host a club night on 29th January at The Glove That Fits in east London, featuring performances by FFIÒN and LYAM.
