Pre-orders for the first cover from Dork’s March 2026 issue are live now – and they come with a big one. Our biggest one, in fact, as the star of the most-ordered issue of Dork EVER, is back to take the reins. Yep, Louis Tomlinson returns to the magazine as our FIRST guest editor.
It’s a full-circle moment, and the timing couldn’t be sharper. With Louis’ new album ‘How Did I Get Here?’ out this Friday (23rd January), we’re also publishing an excerpt from our cover interview to celebrate pre-orders opening – a first look at a conversation that runs deeper, looser and more reflective than anything he’s done before. The interview traces the path to ‘How Did I Get Here?’ – a record shaped by time away and a conscious decision to trust his instincts. Writing and recording in Costa Rica, Louis leaned into a calmer, more open headspace, letting go of the pressure that followed earlier records and allowing the songs to arrive naturally.
“I wanted to try and do it in the most relaxed way possible,” he tells us.
The result is an album that feels lighter on its feet but surer of itself – more experimental, more playful, and more confident in its own skin. Where ‘Walls’ and ‘Faith in the Future’ documented the process of figuring things out, ‘How Did I Get Here?’ captures the moment when those pieces finally click into place.
The March 2026 issue of Dork goes much further than the cover interview alone. As guest editor, Louis has shaped a dedicated section of the magazine, pulling together a snapshot of his world right now – from the artists he’s championing and the records that inspired his new album, to personal recommendations, albums everyone should hear front-to-back, and advice for new artists finding their way.
