Master Peace has teamed up with Declan McKenna for a new single, ‘Fuck It Up’.
The single – which is part of Peace’s forthcoming EP ‘Stupid Kids’, due on 27th February – follows his recent drop ‘Good Times’, and tracks from the FC26 soundtrack such as ‘Spin The Block’ and ‘There’s No More Underground’
Peace explains, “‘Fuck It Up’ was me embracing my flaws and wanting to let kids know they don’t need to feel ashamed or embarrassed about messing up and that we’re all in it together. We’re all fuck-ups in one way or another. This idea that everyone has to be perfect, that we’re not allowed to grow and learn, just isn’t human to me. We’re constantly evolving, and I wanted to get across that it’s okay to get it wrong sometimes.”
He adds, “Declan came in and added his own take on what the song meant to him, and it turned into something I’m really proud of. It felt like me tearing off that ‘perfect musician’ skin and showing a kind of vulnerability I’ve never really expressed in my music before.”
