As It Is have announced a new self-titled album, and released early single ‘Ruin My Life’ featuring Murray Macleod of The Xcerts

As It Is have announced their forthcoming self-titled album, marking their fifth studio effort.

The album is set to arrive on 17th July via FLG, teased by new single ‘Ruin My Life’, which features Murray Macleod of The Xcerts.

Patty Walters, the band’s frontman, described ‘Ruin My Life’ as “a reckless love song about the band and all we’ve been through together.” He addd, “It’s a celebration of getting back together and a nod to all the mistakes we made along the way. We’re not the only band to have made amazing memories and catastrophic choices in equal measure, but we couldn’t tell the story of our band by omitting either.” Walters also noted the significance of Murray Macleod’s contribution, saying, “We wrote this song with Murray from The Xcerts, so it only felt right to have him with us in the studio and his voice on the recording. We wouldn’t have this song, truly one of our all time favourites, without him.”

The tracklisting for ‘As It Is’ reads:

‘I’m So Alive!’
‘Ruin My Life’
‘Do You Remember?’
‘Marilyn’
‘Lightless Sun’
‘Watching The World Go Bye’
‘Lose Your Way & Find Yourself’
‘Last At The Party’
‘Turn To Dust’
‘If I Ever Lost You’
‘What If It All Works Out’
‘Not Anymore’
