Vegas Water Taxi have unveiled their new single ‘Brat Summer’

East London’s Vegas Water Taxi have introduced their latest single ‘Brat Summer’, part of their upcoming EP ‘First Time Listener’.

This release will coincide with the launch of their new LP ‘Long Time Caller, First Time Listener’, both available on 6th February via PNKSLM Recordings.

‘Brat Summer’, the final song crafted for the EP, closes the set with an absurd twist. Ben Hambro describes it as “an Orwellian vision of a police state future updated for the social media age,” inspired by a re-reading of George Orwell’s ‘1984’.

“It imagines a world where people who had not participated in the/a brat summer were being rounded up by the police, whilst the only things on the radio are Call Her Daddy and The Joe Rogan Podcast. It ends with the protagonist and Matty Healy setting fire to LA.”
