Kneecap have unveiled their latest single ‘No Comment’, featuring DJ and producer Sub Focus.
This release is out via Heavenly Recordings and highlights the Belfast/Derry trio’s focus on British state abuse of power and the controversial charges against Mo Chara.
The band explain, “No comment is all about getting harassed by the British State. Simple as. Us Irish are well used to it, been happening for centuries. Was a pleasure to work with Sub Focus on this, the man is a legend.”
The single’s sleeve art includes Banksy’s ‘Royal Courts of Justice’ mural, used with the artist’s permission.
This release follows previous singles ‘THE RECAP’ with Mozey and ‘Sayōnara’, a collaboration with Orbital’s Paul Hartnoll. ‘No Comment’ is available as a limited edition 7” with the track ‘Get Your Brits Out’ as a B-side, marking its first appearance on vinyl.
Currently, Kneecap are on a sold-out UK/EU headline tour. Naoise, known as Móglaí Bap, is running 10km before each show to raise funds for Palestinian causes, in collaboration with the Beit Lahia Development Association and other organisations.
