Ninush has announced her debut EP, ‘The Flowers I See You In’, which will be released on 6th February via The Bird Records.
Ninush is the solo project of violinist Nina Lim, who has previously worked with Black Country, New Road, Holly Humberstone, Little Simz and more.
Alongside this announcement, she has shared a new single, ‘I Don’t Mind’. “[It’s] the closest I’ve come to writing a pop song,” she says, “it’s the most humorous and uplifting track on my upcoming EP ‘The Flowers I See You In’.
“Songwriting is still very much outside of my comfort zone, but string writing comes much more naturally. I wasn’t confident about the track at first, but once I finished layering all the violin parts, it suddenly came together and felt like the most natural thing I’d written.”
The tracklisting for ‘The Flowers I See You In’ reads:
‘Stardoll’
‘Tormentor’
‘Lady In Waiting’
‘I Don’t Mind’
‘The End’
The Bird Records, the label behind this release, is a new venture founded by Charlie Wayne and Mita De. Charlie says, “Ninush’s music is sonically adventurous and emotionally resonant. It is a beautiful and accomplished first offering from an artist whose time in the spotlight has been long overdue. We are extremely grateful to have ‘The Flowers I See You In’ as our first release.”
