Babyshambles are marking their return with ‘Dandy Hooligan’, their first single in twelve years, released via Strap Originals.
The track is described by Peter Doherty as “a well turned-out, elegantly crafted; reggae-ska-pop song… with a sweet melody to bowl along to with your sharpened walking cane.”
The song’s lyrics reflect the adventures of Bob Morris, a band associate known for his sharp dressing and time spent in anti-nazi ranks. The accompanying video, featuring Bob, was filmed in Soho by Roger Sargent.
In support of the release, Babyshambles have embarked on the Dandy Hooligan Tour, with dates across the UK in November and December.
