LIDO Festival has announced Maribou State as the first headliner for its 2026 edition, set to take place at Victoria Park, London. The Hertfordshire-born duo will perform on Saturday 20th June, with a full line-up yet to be revealed. Tickets for the festival will be available for purchase from Friday 24th October at 10am.
Reflecting on the upcoming performance, they shared, “We’ve made some of our best memories touring in London, from our first ever show at Oslo through to playing Alexandra Palace earlier this year. We’re over the moon to announce our biggest show yet in the city next summer, alongside a line up of some of our favourite artists. This is going to be special. See you all next June.”
The duo have released three studio albums: ‘Portraits’ (2015), ‘Kingdoms In Colour’ (2018), and ‘Hallucinating Love’ (2025), collaborating with artists such as Holly Walker and Khruangbin.
Jim King, CEO of AEG Presents UK and European Festivals, commented on the festival’s impact, stating, “LIDO’s first year was an incredible moment for London with exceptional performances, a perfect setting in Victoria Park and a real step forward in how we can deliver live music more sustainably.” He added, “We’re delighted to welcome Maribou State as our first headliner to set the tone for what’s to come… unforgettable live shows with world-class artists, and a festival that truly feels like summer in the city.”
LIDO Festival, launched in summer 2025, aims to redefine sustainable music events by putting artists in control of programming, focusing on sustainability, and engaging with the local community. The festival’s 2025 edition was powered by a 3MWh solar-charged battery, alongside other green technologies, setting a benchmark for environmentally driven events.
