Maisie Peters has made her return with the release of two new singles, ‘You You You’ and ‘Audrey Hepburn’, via Gingerbread Man Records/Atlantic Records.
These tracks mark her first original music in two years and signal the beginning of a new phase in her career, leading up to her forthcoming third studio album.
“It’s about how love gave me an inner peace, calm, strength and confidence, a safe place and an escape from the mania of my life in the last few years,” she explains of ‘Audrey Hepburn’.
Of ‘You You You’, she adds, “You You You is about the darkest trench of my last heartbreak, a song I wrote very much in retrospect, thinking about how consumed I was by that sadness, something I could have only seen truly in hindsight.”
“Neither could have existed without the other, so I’m so glad everyone is getting to experience them at the same time.”
To celebrate her comeback, Peters is set to perform two intimate shows at EartH Hackney, with the first show scheduled for tonight, 9th October, and the second tomorrow.
