Jay Som, the project of Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist Melina Duterte, is set to release her new album ‘Belong’ this Friday, 10th October, via Lucky Number.
Ahead of the album’s release, Jay Som has unveiled ‘Past Lives’, a track featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore.
Duterte comments on the collaboration, stating, “It’s a dream come true to have Hayley sing on my first feature on an album before the recording of ‘Float,’ I still can’t believe it happened. She’s one of the kindest artists out there and she graciously accepts and uplifts the people around her. We’re all so lucky to witness her talent and live on the same timeline as her.”
In support of the album, Jay Som will host a release party in Los Angeles on Thursday 9th October at Permanent Records. Following this, Jay Som will embark on her first tour in over five years, beginning in Europe on 1st November.
