Nia Archives and CLIPZ have shared a Brazilian carnival-inspired single, ‘Maia Maia’

Nia Archives and CLIPZ have released a new collaborative single, ‘Maia Maia’, via Up Ya Archives, drawing a direct line between Brazilian rhythms and new-gen jungle.

The track continues Nia Archives’ exploration of Brazilian sounds following previous single ‘Baianá’. It arrives after the pair hosted an Up Ya Archives radio show on NTS last week.

Nia Archives has also announced her biggest Up Ya Archives Warehouse Project takeover to date on 15th November, with a five-room, 10-hour programme running across the day and night.

Speaking about the collaboration, Nia Archives says, “Clipz and I wanted to capture some Brazilian junglist energy with ‘Maia Maia’, drawing inspiration from legends like DJ Patife and DJ Marky. When we hit the studio, our vision was to create a track that could feel like the soundtrack to the 2026 World Cup. I’d come across this incredible samba group sample, paired it with an old Juno-106 I’d just picked up, and from there, ‘Maia Maia’ was born.”
