Mitski and Trafalgar Releasing have confirmed a global theatrical run for the new concert film ‘Mitski: The Land’, screening exclusively in cinemas worldwide on 22nd October for a limited time.
Captured over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, the film translates Mitski’s recent live production to the big screen, featuring material from ‘The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We’ alongside reworkings from across her catalogue.
The film is directed by Grant James and mixed by long-time collaborator Patrick Hyland, and is produced by Moniker Films and Good Harbor Music in association with Working Class Films and Dead Oceans.
“Mitski is a visionary artist and a compelling performer and her first concert film is just as special – it’s a privilege to bring this film to cinemas and Mitski fans around the world,” said Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing.
Tickets will be available at mitskifilm.com from 15th September, with sign-ups for updates, locations and showtimes open now. According to the announcement, the release will span 630 cinemas across 30 countries.
