Blondie are set to reissue their 1999 comeback album ‘No Exit’ in a newly remastered and expanded deluxe edition via BMG on 31st October, marking the record’s first appearance on vinyl and adding previously hard-to-find material alongside updated packaging.
Issued digitally and across three physical formats – a 2CD set, crystal glass clear 2LP and black 2LP – the release includes the remastered original album, remixes, new liner notes, and ‘Hot Shot’, a track previously available only in Japan and now newly mixed by David Wrench.
Recorded after a 17-year hiatus, ‘No Exit’ reunited Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, Clem Burke and Jimmy Destri, with bassist Leigh Foxx and guitarist Paul Carbonara stepping into official roles. “We made an effort to not do anything that was predictable while also including a few of those little pop ditties that Blondie became known for,” says Debbie Harry.
Completed prior to Clem Burke’s passing earlier this year, the edition foregrounds his performances across the record, reflecting his long-standing role in the group’s sound.
