Fuzz Lightyear are set to release new EP ‘Zero Guilt’ on 21st November via Nice Swan Records (English Teacher, Sprints, Chalk), and have shared the single ‘Sit Awake’ today, 2nd September.
Recorded with producer Alex Greaves (Yard Act, Working Men’s Club, Gurriers), ‘Sit Awake’ follows recent single ‘Berlin, 1885’ and lands alongside news of a debut UK headline tour in December.
Detailing the release, frontman Ben Parry explained: “‘Sit Awake’ is the most personal song to me on the EP. Lyrically I’m talking about how music – or creating – is the best kind of free therapy we have. Art can be the purest form of escapism. After experiencing trauma I have always found great solace in creation, the act of making undoing damage far better than words ever have. Sit Awake is one of these acts. Sometimes all you need is catharsis.”
