Cat Burns has shared a new track, ‘All This Love’, a reflection on love, loss and how grief can be redirected.
The song follows January’s ‘GIRLS!’ and arrives as the second preview of her forthcoming album, due this autumn. It lands as Burns heads to All Points East later this month, where she will appear alongside Raye, JADE, Doechii and Tyla. Further details of her next major project are expected later this month.
“’All This Love’ is my idea of what grief actually is, which is love with no place to go. Instead of making a really sad song about the people I’ve lost I wanted to make a happier song about life since losing the person, and how I’ve been finding new places to put all this love I can’t give to them anymore,” she says.
The track follows a year on from her Mercury Prize nomination and the top ten album ‘early twenties’. Burns is also set to appear on the UK’s first celebrity edition of The Traitors this autumn, joining Alan Carr, Tameka Empson, Paloma Faith and Jonathan Ross.
