Twenty One Pilots announce global ‘Breach’ in‑store playback events

Twenty One Pilots are set to preview their eighth studio album, ‘Breach’, with a series of global in‑store listening events ahead of its release on 12th September. The duo have confirmed sessions at independent record shops worldwide, including exclusive giveaways.

Sessions will take place on 6th September across the UK; on 10th September in Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal; on 10th September in Poland, Ireland and France; and on 11th September in Mexico City, the Netherlands, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, Spain and Germany. Events are also planned on 10th and 11th September in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland. A YouTube listening party is scheduled in Japan on 11th September, while Surfarosa in Cape Town will host South Africa’s event the same day.

A band-posted map also lists outlets covering nearly every US state scheduled for 6th and 7th September; at the time of writing, none are planned for Iowa, Arkansas, Hawaii or New Mexico, with more locations to follow. Named examples include Zia Record in Tucson and Grace Records in Gilbert (Arizona); Run Out Groove Records in Burbank, Programme Skate & Sound in Fullerton and 1-2-3-4 Go! Records in Oakland (California); and, in Ohio, Republic of Athens Records in Athens, Magnolia Thunderpussy in Columbus and Toxic Beauty Records in Yellow Springs.

Limited edition picture discs will be available at participating locations while supplies last.

‘Breach’ continues the narrative arc that began with 2015’s ‘Blurryface’ and ran through 2018’s ‘Trench’, 2021’s ‘Scaled and Icy’ and 2024’s ‘Clancy’. The album has been previewed by the single ‘The Contract’.
