‘METAL FORTH’ marks 15 years since BABYMETAL’s formation and stands as a testament to the band’s evolution as they’ve grown into fully-fledged giants of the genre. This latest release centres on collaborations with major artists from around the world, taking listeners on a journey that stretches the limits of metal.

Nu-metal opener ‘from me to u’, composed by Jordan Fish (formerly of Bring Me The Horizon), is a high-energy adventure that’s equal parts upbeat and intense. This is a band that don’t just embrace contradictions; they thrive on them, flipping expectations on their head. Fellow metal maverick Poppy lends her screams to the track, fitting in so naturally she could be an unofficial member.

‘RATATATA’ features Electric Callboy in a frankly genius team-up that’ll have you grinning from ear to ear. It’s music made to move to, whether you’re smashing out a choreographed routine or going full headbang. ‘Song 3’, featuring Slaughter to Prevail, unleashes a hypnotic, relentless energy. Momometal takes the lead, her growling vocals locking perfectly with Alex Terrible’s aggression to create what might be the most brutal counting song ever recorded.

Despite the stacked guest list, BABYMETAL still manage to shine alone. ‘White Flame’, packed with shredding guitar licks and breakneck tempo, provides the perfect climax to this wild ride. Complex, polished and unshakeable, ‘METAL FORTH’ proves once again that BABYMETAL are in a league of their own. All praise the Fox God for another fantastic record.
