Hayley Williams has dropped her 17 new solo songs as individual singles on streaming

Hayley Williams has released her 17 new solo tracks across streaming platforms, following a brief preview period where the songs were available through a password-protected website.

The tracks, which appear to be collectively known as ‘Ego’ (or ‘Ego Death’), have been released as individual singles rather than a traditional album format. Each song features distinct artwork showing Williams in black and white photography overlaid with gold designs including squiggles, halos, and planetary motifs corresponding to the track titles.

The collection was created in collaboration with touring Paramore members Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard, with Daniel James handling production and co-writing duties across all tracks. Jim-E Stack serves as co-writer and co-producer on ‘True Believer’.

The songs span various styles, including ‘Discovery Channel’, which interpolates Bloodhound Gang’s ‘The Bad Touch’, and ‘Mirtazapine’, which Williams recently performed on Nashville Public Radio’s WNXP. Other tracks include ‘Kill Me’, acoustic offerings ‘Blood Bros’, ‘I Won’t Quit On You’, ‘Negative Self Talk’, and uptempo numbers ‘Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party’ and ‘Brotherly Hate’.

The project, released through Williams’ new label Post Atlantic, follows her previous solo works ‘Petals for Armor’ (2020) and ‘Flowers for Vases/Descansos’ (2021).
