Porij have returned with their new single ‘I’m Your Lover (Only)’, following the release of their debut album ‘Teething’ in 2024.
The four-piece, comprising Egg (Scout Moore), Jacob Maguire, James Middleton and Nathan Carroll, will perform at Dork’s Day Out at London’s Signature Brew on 2nd August alongside SOFY, Picture Parlour, Aziya, NXDIA and more – pick up your tickets here.
“This song’s about accidentally falling in love,” Egg explains. “You can’t always pick when it happens and this is about leaning in, going with the flow and enjoying it for what it is without overthinking.”
The band discuss the creation of their new video, saying, “Jacob came up with the original piano and drum hook for the chorus and called it Beefa on a Soundcloud demo so for the video we thought it would be rude not to go on a spontaneous 48-hour trip to Ibiza, where we filmed in a quiet villa tucked away in the north of the island, followed by a little bit of partying in Amnesia for Bicep Boiler room, which was slightly less quiet ;). Conception inspiration definitely came from a ‘Kevin & Perry’ vibe – think heading off on your first holiday with mates and all the antics that come with it. Sun-soaked days by the pool, cheeky bevs and tunes to die for.”
