The Libertines have announced a special warm-up show at an undisclosed West London venue ahead of their Gunnersbury Park festival appearance this summer.
The intimate club performance, limited to 250 tickets, will take place on 31st July, preceding the band’s final tour date at Gunnersbury Park on 9th August. The performance comes as part of the closing leg of their world tour, which has supported their latest album ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade’.
The Gunnersbury Park event, billed as ‘The Libertines Festival’, will feature support from Supergrass, Soft Play, Hak Baker, Lambrini Girls and Real Farmer, marking the conclusion of both their world tour and their immediate future plans.
“We are going to take a break, live life a little for a bit and enjoy some time in the wilderness communing with nature, and see where the muse takes us. Hopefully you can make it to the final night of the tour at Gunnersbury Park. It’s gonna be historic. If not, we’ll see you down the road some time. Love Peter X,” says Peter Doherty.
Tickets for the warm-up show are priced at £22.50, including booking fee, with entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
