Folklore Records have dropped their second compilation EP ‘Folklore Vol. 2’, out today (25th July).
The new collection features four tracks from rising songwriters Nierra Creek, Quaking Aspens (pictured), Adam Spry and Mezanmi. Following their first compilation, which included works from Bess Atwell, Jacko Hooper, George Ogilvie, and Oktoba, the new EP continues to showcase emerging talent from around the world.
Brighton-based duo Nierra Creek contribute ‘Burn Out The Fire’, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The track was engineered by Theo Byrd, mixed by Adam “Cecil” Bartlett and Sebastian Müller, and mastered by Simon Lancelot.
Quaking Aspens’ offering ‘Flume’ arrives following recent support from BBC Introducing. The track, recorded at Farm Road Studios, was produced by Jake Smallwood and mastered by Julian Tardo.
San Francisco-based Adam Spry delivers ‘Tangled’, which he wrote, recorded, and produced. The track was engineered at The Creek in Oakland by Trevor Brooks, with additional home recording by Spry and mastering by Geoff Saba at Itinerant Home.
Mezanmi, the project of Fran O’Hanlon, completes the compilation with ‘This Time Yesterday’. The track was produced by Grammy Award-winner Guy Massey, known for his work with Spiritualized, Ed Sheeran, and Radiohead.
