Silver Gore have dropped their debut single ‘Dogs In Heaven’, inspired by the animated film All Dogs Go to Heaven

Silver Gore have shared their debut single ‘Dogs In Heaven’ via Island Records.

The duo, comprising Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn, have crafted a track inspired by Ava’s childhood experiences watching the animated film All Dogs Go to Heaven. The release arrives alongside a video directed by Ben Cole.

“I spent lots of hours alone, watching this film with our family dog,” Ava explains. “This song is about making decisions and the unexpected consequences that come from them.”

The pair began their collaboration after meeting in 2018, with Ava – a drummer and classical vocalist – joining Ethan’s live band in 2021. Ethan’s previous work includes collaborations with FKA Twigs, Nia Archives and David Byrne, following his departure from Guildhall School of Music.

“We set out to make a song based around exactly how we’re feeling in a moment,” Silver Gore say. “Every decision then grows from that emotion; whether it’s the lyrics or the drum sound. We try to document it exactly how it is in the moment.”
