BTS are set to return with new music and a world tour in spring 2026, the group have announced during their first joint livestream since completing their military service.
The seven-piece group revealed they will begin working on new material in the United States from July 2025, with plans to release their first album since their return from military duties next spring.
“We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started,” the group shared during the Weverse broadcast.
The band also confirmed plans for their first world tour since 2022’s ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE’. “We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are,” they added.
During the livestream, which drew over 7.3 million real-time viewers, the group discussed their upcoming activities, including j-hope’s upcoming headline slot at Lollapalooza Berlin. “We’re really looking forward to the performance. He’s going to do great,” the members noted.
They also reflected on Jin’s recent ‘#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR’ dates in Goyang, Korea, commenting: “It was such a great show. Jin was amazing on the piano, and it was a show that only Jin could pull off.”
