Lorde is hinting at that surprise Glastonbury performance again

Lorde has hinted at a potential surprise performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, sharing an image of the Woodsies tent on her Instagram Stories ahead of the event.

The timing appears significant, with an unannounced slot scheduled for 11:30 am on 27th June coinciding with the release of her fourth album, ‘Virgin’.

Speaking to Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, Lorde recently addressed the speculation directly: “You know, I’m pretty keen, honestly. I feel like… ’cause the album’s gonna be coming out right around that time.” She continued: “I’m quite tempted by what’s going on because I’ve got lots of friends playing as well… We’ll see if I can pull some strings and get there.”

The New Zealand artist has previously performed at Glastonbury, appearing on the Other Stage in 2017 and the Pyramid Stage in 2022. Of her Pyramid Stage performance, Lorde said: “It’s absolutely unbelievable — enormous. It’s just the best festival in the world.”
