A new documentary exploring the global BTS ARMY fandom is set for a limited theatrical release, beginning 30th July through Trafalgar Releasing.
‘Forever We Are Young’, directed by Grace Lee and Patty Ahn, examines the worldwide impact of BTS’s fandom, which currently stands at 90 million members globally. The documentary follows ARMY members across various locations, including Seoul, Los Angeles, Texas, and Mexico City, showcasing their activities and dedication to the group.
“There is no BTS without ARMY and no ARMY without BTS. We’re excited for audiences to go on an emotional journey and meet a fandom that made us laugh, cry, and think. We were constantly moved by the fans’ power, resilience, creativity and humour and hope audiences will be too,” Lee and Ahn share.
The film features diverse perspectives from the fandom, including a dance instructor in Seoul teaching BTS choreography and fans who have been organising since 2013. It had its world premiere at SXSW 2025 in Austin, Texas, and has since screened at festivals in Copenhagen, Mexico, Hawaii, and Los Angeles.
Tickets for the theatrical release will be available from 2nd July at www.btsarmymovie.com.
