dodie has returned with her first solo single in three years, ‘I’M FINE!’

dodie has released ‘I’M FINE!’, her first solo single in over three years, via Decca Records.

The track was recorded between dodie’s home studio and Pixel studio in London with long-time collaborator Joe Rubel. An accompanying video, directed by dodie and Sammy Paul, has also been released.

Speaking about the new single, dodie says: “I’m Fine’ is an unconvincing exclaim. Sarcastic and hollow, this song is a mental battle that balances between panic and relief, before tumbling into something overwhelming.”

The release follows dodie’s 2021 debut album ‘Build A Problem’, which reached Number 3 in the UK album charts. After releasing her ‘Hot Mess’ EP in 2022, she formed FIZZ with Orla Gartland, Greta Isaac and Martin Luke Brown. The band recently released their album ‘The Secret To Life’.

Most recently, dodie has contributed ‘Someone Was Listening’ to the game Life Is Strange – Double Exposure and recorded a version of ‘Old Devil Moon’ for ‘Chet Baker Re:imagined’.
