Ama has returned with new single ‘My Girl’, marking her first release in nearly two years via ISO SUPREMACY/PULSE Records.
The London-born singer-songwriter, formerly known as Ama Lou, delivers the track alongside a new video shot in France. It follows her self-produced debut ‘I Came Home Late’, which arrived in 2023.
“It’s a reintroduction… a melancholic reflection on achievement and numbness,” Ama says of the new track. The accompanying visual, directed by Ama alongside her sister Mahalia John, draws inspiration from Soulja Boy’s ‘Crank Dat’, reimagining the concept through a minimalist lens.
“I’ve really lifted the veil,” Ama explains of this new era. “I’ve stepped into a fully formed Ama.”
