Little Simz is set to feature in a new BBC One special, performing tracks from her forthcoming album alongside classic hits at London’s Maida Vale Studios.
‘Little Simz: Live at the BBC’, hosted by Clara Amfo, will document the artist’s career progression from her early beginnings as an 11-year-old freestyling on BBC Radio 1Xtra through to her Mercury Prize victory and Glastonbury Pyramid Stage performance. The 30-minute programme will showcase performances filmed at the historic recording facility.
The special will air on BBC One on 4th June at 11:40pm, with an additional broadcast on BBC Three the following evening at 9:55pm. The programme will also be available via BBC iPlayer.
Accompanying the television special, BBC Radio will feature exclusive interviews and track premieres across its networks on 4th June. These include appearances on BBC Radio 6 Music with Nick Grimshaw at 9am, Radio 1 with Jack Saunders at 6:30pm, and 1Xtra with DJ Target at 7pm. Additional tracks will be broadcast on Radio 2’s Jo Whiley show on 18th June at 8pm.
