Live At Leeds: In The City have announced the first wave of artists set to perform at this year’s festival, taking place across multiple venues in Leeds on 15th November.
The multi-venue event will feature over 100 artists performing across a dozen of Leeds’ independent venues, bars and creative spaces. US-born, Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Jalen Ngonda leads the announcement, bringing material from his 2023 debut album ‘Come Around and Love Me’ alongside new songs.
Bristol’s Katy J Pearson also joins the line-up, following the release of her 2024 album ‘Someday, Now’. The bill also includes Du Blonde, alt-country group Divorce (pictured), Welsh punk outfit Panic Shack, and Warmduscher.
“So excited to release the first round of artists for Live At Leeds In The City 2025,” says promoter Joe Hubbard. “We’re delighted to welcome the phenomenal Jalen Ngonda over from Liverpool, cannot wait to hear new music from him. If you’re into contemporary hip hop, Jalen is a must-see. Similarly, I’m very much looking forward to hearing Katy J Pearson’s latest record live and Panic Shack are always, quite literally, a riot… We’ve got so much more planned for In The City this year, just you wait!”
Venues for this year’s festival include The Brudenell Social Club, Belgrave Music Hall, Oporto, and Leeds University Union, with more to be confirmed. The festival, which launched in 2007, continues its tradition of showcasing emerging talent across the city.
