Kesha has launched her new SMASH platform to help music creators retain rights and collaborate

Kesha has announced SMASH, a new community platform designed to help music creators connect, collaborate, and retain rights to their work.

The project, co-founded by Kesha alongside CTO Alan Cannistraro and COO Lagan Sebert, aims to provide creators with access to professional communities without requiring them to sign away their rights. SMASH will connect songwriters, artists, producers, instrumentalists, singers, and sound engineers.

“My goal is to shift the power structure of the music making business in favor of the creators,” says Kesha. “I signed a predatory deal when I was 18 and then spent more than a decade fighting to regain rights to my voice and image. When I finally gained my freedom I realized the fight wasn’t over. I want to make sure what happened to me never happens to anyone else again.”

To mark the launch, Kesha is hosting a remix challenge for her single ‘BOY CRAZY.’ through the platform. Creators can sign up at smashmusic.io to receive the stems, with the winning remix to be released on Kesha Records.

The dates for Kesha’s The Tits Out Tour are as follows:

JULY
1 Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre, West Valley City, US
5 Kia Forum, Los Angeles, US
23 Madison Square Garden, New York City, US

AUGUST
10 MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre, Tampa, US
