i-dle have released their eighth mini-album ‘We Are’, featuring six new tracks including lead single ‘Good Thing’.
The CUBE Entertainment group, who recently rebranded from their previous name (G)I-DLE, unveiled the new collection following the release of ‘We Are i-dle’ earlier this month, which featured re-recorded versions of their previous hits including ‘LATATA’.
i-dle’s leader and the group’s main producer SOYEON said: “We decided to try something new by having all members take part in the songwriting and composing process for the first time since renewing our contracts. I was a bit worried about whether we could pull it off, but it turned out to be a fun and meaningful experience.”
‘We Are’ includes the tracks ‘Good Thing’, ‘Girlfriend’, ‘Love Tease’, ‘Chain’, ‘Unstoppable’ and ‘If You Want’. The release arrives after all five members renewed their contracts with CUBE Entertainment late last year.
The new mini-album follows their July 2024 release ‘I Sway’, which featured the single ‘Klaxon’, and their full-length record ‘[2]’, which earned them the Record of the Year Grand Prize at the 2024 MMAs.
Members of the group have also pursued individual projects recently, with Minnie releasing her solo mini-album ‘Her’, featuring collaborations with bandmate Yuqi on ‘Drive U Crazy’ and NCT’s Ten on ‘Obsession’. Yuqi also released her own digital single ‘Radio (Dum-Dum)’ in March.
