My Chemical Romance have unveiled a previously unreleased live version of ‘Helena’, recorded for BBC Radio 1’s ‘The Lock Up’ in 2005, alongside a film-restored version of the track’s original music video.
The live recording features as part of the band’s upcoming ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge (Deluxe Edition)’, set for release on 6th June. The expanded version of their second album arrives 21 years after its original release date and has been remixed and remastered by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Rich Costey.
The deluxe package will be available across multiple formats, including CD and various coloured vinyl variants. A special zoetrope 2LP edition will feature a unique etching on Side 4 of the three-sided release. The collection includes four BBC session recordings from 2005, featuring live versions of ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’, ‘Helena’, ‘The Ghost Of You’, and ‘You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison’ – the latter previously released as a B-side on the UK CD single of ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’.
My Chemical Romance are set to embark on their North American stadium tour, titled ‘Long Live: The Black Parade’, with all dates selling out within hours of going on sale.
