MØ celebrates self-preservation and self-joy with her new single ‘Lose Yourself’

has shared new single ‘Lose Yourself’, the latest track to be taken from her forthcoming fourth album ‘Plæygirl’.

The track, produced by Nick Sylvester with contributions from School of X and Clementine Douglas, combines electro-disco with Scandi-pop elements. It arrives alongside a behind-the-scenes visualiser filmed during her recent European tour dates.

“‘Lose Yourself’ is about self-preservation and self-joy – about letting go in a healthy way, without losing each other in the process,” MØ explains. “I’ve found that staying connected to your community is one of the most vital ingredients for a healthy spirit. This song is a reminder to be vulnerable, take care of yourself, and care for those you love.”

“I first wrote it in 2022 with my longtime collaborator Stint, then revisited it with my drummer and friend School of X,” she continues. “When Nick Sylvester came on to produce the final version, we were inspired by Joy Division — and a killer lunch plate from a local spot called Tekno in Nørrebro. Ronni Vindahl helped with finalizing the production, Micah Jasper added some cool elements, and Clementine Douglas helped us land the perfect flow in the songwriting.”

‘Plæygirl’, written between Copenhagen and Los Angeles with producer Nick Sylvester and collaborator Ronni Vindhal, follows MØ’s 2022 album ‘Motordrome’. The 12-track collection was created over 2022-2024. “I just wanted to make music that was true to me – music that feels free. I feel like I’m standing in front of a new era,” she shares.

The dates for MØ’s US tour are as follows:

8 E1 Cid, Los Angeles, US
