Haim’s next new single, ‘Down To Be Wrong’, is coming this week

Haim have announced their next single ‘Down To Be Wrong’, marking the third preview of their upcoming fourth album.

The Los Angeles trio’s new track follows previous singles ‘Relationships’ and ‘Everybody’s Trying To Figure Me Out’, with both the single and its accompanying video set to arrive on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th April respectively.

The band have revealed the single’s artwork, which recreates a 2004 paparazzi photograph of Jared Leto and Scarlett Johansson. This continues their recent visual approach of reimagining notable images, including Nicole Kidman’s divorce papers photograph and a classic Kate Moss shot.

The group are set to make their live return with two shows at The Bellwether in Los Angeles, marking their first full performances since September 2023. The as-yet-untitled fourth album, which follows 2020’s ‘Women In Music Pt. III’, has been produced by Rostam Batmanglij.

“Working with Rostam, in general it’s very quick, kinetic with him, which I really love as an artist. Maybe before, it wasn’t that way, it was kind of a more… longer, searching, laboured situation,” Danielle explains.

Alana Haim adds that the new record is “the closest we’ve ever gotten to how we wanted to sound”, noting it was a “completely different experience” this time around.
