Fontaines D.C. have released a deluxe edition of their fourth album ‘Romance’ via XL Recordings, featuring three additional tracks.
The expanded version includes new song ‘Before You I Just Forget’, produced by James Ford, alongside recent single ‘It’s Amazing To Be Young’ and a live version of ‘Starburster’ combined with David Lynch’s ‘In Heaven (Lady In The Radiator Song)’ from the 1977 film Eraserhead.
Conor Culrey discusses the new track, saying: “Before You I Just Forget is a song that started with a vision of this really blown out sound, something that heaved and shifted with new details becoming apparent every time you would listen. Like never being able to step in the same river twice, the song morphs and changes finishing with an incredible string part by Grian.”
The release coincides with Fontaines D.C.’s largest North American tour to date, which includes three sold-out shows at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. The band are also set to perform four UK outdoor headline shows this summer, including a 45,000-capacity event at London’s Finsbury Park.
