Black Honey have announced their fourth album ‘Soak’, and shared new single ‘Dead’

Black Honey have announced their fourth album ‘Soak’, set for release on 15th August.

The Brighton rock band have shared new single ‘Dead’ alongside the announcement, featuring what they describe as “scuzzy, do-your-worst chorus taunts”. The track follows their previous single ‘Psycho’, released earlier this year.

‘Soak’ marks a shift in the band’s visual aesthetic, moving from the cinematic influences of Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson that shaped their previous records to a Stanley Kubrick-inspired retrofuturistic approach. The album comprises twelve tracks, including previously released single ‘Psycho’.

“Soak is me processing a decade of touring and creating music and art as an addict,” explains frontwoman Izzy B. Phillips. “It’s me picking at the layers of messy, romantic, confusing, woozy, beautiful and fucked up things. Who I thought I was, who I was supposed to be and who looks back at me now are all so different but I’m kind of here for it.”

The record follows their 2023 album ‘A Fistful of Peaches’, which reached number 6 in the UK charts, continuing their streak of Top 10 albums following 2021’s ‘Written & Directed’.

Their dates in full read:
