Wet Leg have seemingly announced a pair of intimate shows under a pseudonym, with the first one taking place tonight.
The Isle of Wight band are set to perform at Brighton’s Green Door Store (23rd March) and London’s Moth Club (24th March) under the name ‘Uma Thurman’. Though initially announced without revealing the band’s identity, Wet Leg have appeared to confirm their involvement by sharing a ‘first come first served’ link to the Moth Club date via their their social media accounts.
The shows follow last week’s announcement of two special performances in New York and Los Angeles. “Hey there neighbor been a while hasn’t it? why dont u come on down to the bottom of our garden? its about time we had ourselves a little gathering…just a couple of special nights in NYC and LA,” the band wrote on social media.
The performances mark Wet Leg’s first shows since their self-titled debut album, which earned them Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance, alongside the BRIT Award for Best British Group in 2023.
The band have also recently launched a new website and shared a 30-second teaser of new music, their first in three years.
Pre-sale access for the New York and Los Angeles shows will be available from 28th March.
